Fmr members of Destiny's Child
settle one lawsuit as 'Independent Women' hits 10th straight wk @ No.1 on Billboard's Top 100
Singles Charts.
Former
Destiny's Child
members La Tavia
Robertson and Le
Toya Luckett settled their lawsuit with the group out of court. Details
about the terms were under wraps and on the hush hush but their suit with the
band's manager (and Be'yonce's dad) Matthew Knowles is still bending. The gals said that they did not
get their 'fair share' of the groups earning when they were there and wants
their piece of the pie.
The group originally started out with
lead singer and songwriter Beyonce Knowles,
Kelly Rawland,
La Tavia
Robertson and Le
Toya Luckett. Last
year La Tavia and
La Toya were
fired. Two new
members (Michelle
and Farrah) were
added and then
Farrah left a few months back.
The newly reformed Destiny's Child
is sitting pretty atop the
Billboard Top 100 chart for a 10th straight week with their latest single 'Independent
Woman Pt.1 ' from the 'Charlie's Angels
'
SDTK. The song (which was written and co-produced by lead singer Beyonce
Knowles) is the chant that's on the lips of every independent woman (and man for
that matter) across the globe and will certainly be certified platinum in single
sales in the not so distant future.
