S.O.S. (Save our Station) for Soul24-7.com - they need our help

There is a crisis going on at one of the internet's best soul radio stations - Soul24-7.com. The London based internet radio station which went live in May of last year may not be around to see it's 1st year anniversary due to some financial difficulties brought on by a former member of management. Said Alex James a founding member of the station "Another person who is no longer with us mismanaged our funds and it is amazing that Steve, Chris, myself and the rest of the gang here at the station have lasted this long on what was left. If we all just made our small contribution, it could do wonders know what I mean".

I work for an upstart internet radio station myself and know that without sponsorship you will have a tough time of it no matter how good you are. It seems that Soul24-7 as good as they are cannot attract commercial sponsorship (not due to fault of their own) and now calls upon the help of their listeners. An annual membership fee of £12 ($16.80) is what the station is proposing for each listener to pay so let's get the signal out there and do what's right let's keep this station on the air(waves).

Shaggy achieves the double atop of billboard charts

'Angels' are flying high above in the clouds and the man responsible for it is the one and only Shaggy who is flying high on cloud 9 himself these days. His latest single 'Angel' has claimed the No.1 spot on Billboard's Top 100 chart for a second straight week to coincide with his album 'Hotspot' re-entering the top spot and sitting pretty atop the Billboard Top 200 Album chart. This marks a first for the young dj turn crossover reggae star who's album is fast approaching the triple platinum status This certainly will not hurt his bank account.

The 'Oscars' take center stage in Hollywood

The Hollywood elite came out in folds to see their favourite movie stars awarded the elusive 'golden statue' for their work  on the big screen. The honors (which is voted on by fellow actors and members of the academy) took place at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles last night and there were a few surprises to say the least  most of which was that Densel Washington did not win for his terrific portrayal of boxer Rubin Carter in 'The Hurricane'. The winners in the major categories are:
