Michael
Jackson fights back with 'Pt.2 interview'
I'm
sure just about everyone on the planet has seen the now infamous
interview 'Living with Michael Jackson'.
The interview shows Michael admitting to sleeping with children,
child abuse from his father, and how his ex-wife gave him his children
as a gift. Michael apparently was not happy with how presenter Martin
Bashir presented the interview and has called upon doing
a 'Pt. 2' interview.
Having secure a deal with Fox,
Jackson is set to broadcast a rebuttal to Bashir's 'Living With
Michael Jackson,' which he claims misrepresented him with its voiceovers
questioning and among other things, the safety of his children.
The retaliatory special, 'Take
Two: The Interview They Wouldn't Show You,' will include
statements in Jackson's defense from 12-year-old cancer victim Gavin
Arvizo, who admits he sometimes sleeps in the star's bed, and from
Jackson's ex-wife Debbie Rowe,
who is the mother of Jackson's first two children — Paris
Katherine Michael Jackson and Prince
Michael Jackson Jr.
Rowe maintains that she was
not paid a penny for the interview, although Jackson reportedly
supports her luxurious Beverly Hills lifestyle. Whatever the case
may be, Arvizo's mother, Janet Ventura-Arvizo, appears not above
cashing in on the media blitz. British papers engaged in a bidding
war last week to tell her son's story.
The two-hour program will also
show video footage of Bashir that Jackson had promised to deliver
by Monday. It wasn't until Tuesday evening that 'Entertainment
Tonight' finally aired snippets of the tape, which was
shot by Jackson's own cameraman during the filming of the documentary.
According to a statement from
Jackson's London PR reps, the video shows Bashir contradicting the
opinions he voiced in the edited version of the documentary and
proves the journalist lied to Jackson and misled his audience. The
statement says that Bashir even went so far as to "admit that
Michael's [parenting] abilities were so spectacular they nearly
brought him to tears." More to come I'm sure on this one.

Newcomer
Terri Walker the latest UK sensation
- Sexy
songstress Terri Walker is
tearing up the UK charts with her latest single 'Guess
you didn't love me'. The song features a guest appearance
from Brookyn rapper Mos Def
that will be the official first single according to the 23 yr
old. The song is generating a lot of attention on the radio airways
and has the young lass being hailed as the next Graig
David. (female version of course)
-
- Taken from her forthcoming
album called 'Untitled' that
will be in stores the first week in March, 'Guess
you didn't love me' is the follow up to her debut single
'Drawing Board' and if these
2 tracks are any indication to what's coming on the full length,
it's definitely worth giving the CD the full monty. Be sure to
look out for this one as I can tell you she's going to be huge.
If you're living in the UK, you can see her at the infamous London's
Jazz Cafe this month as she continues her promotional tour in
support of her album. Be sure to catch her - quality soul here:
period.

Rahsaan
Patterson much anticipated 3rd album called 'The
Best' originally scheduled for release this month is
now being begged back til the summer.
According to sources at the
label, they are still searching for that first big hit single to
re-launch Rahsaan's new set but in the meantime fans across the
world will just have to wait with thumb in mouth for the next few
months to see if indeed it will be in your local record shops.
It's been almost four years
now since his last set, the excellent 'Love
in Stereo' which has fans crying for more. Granted there's
been the odd song here and there that's appeared on soundtracks
and compilations (which is rumored to be on 'The
Best') but still no album to show of. But have no feat
as 'The Best' is here and we
will just have to wait a little while longer for it (keep your fingers
crossed).
