R-Kelly
rumored to pen track for MJ's 'Number Ones'
-
It's very documented that
Michael Jackson wants out
of his contract with Sony Music but despite all that, he still
owes the label one more album, which he plans to deliver this
fall as yet another greatest-hits disc. There will be one added
new song which will be penned by troubled R&B singer/producer
R. Kelly.
In a premature press
release, sent out by Sony Music U.K.
but later was retracted, it stated that a song written by
Kelly called 'One More Chance'
was under consideration for his new project, currently called
Number Ones (sound familiar
remember Mariah's joint a few years back). According to a
source close to the project, 'One
More Chance' was produced by both Kelly and Jackson,
but it's still a matter of discussion whether it'll make the
album.
There will be eighteen
tracks were said to be featured on the set including 'Thriller',
'Beat It', 'Don't
Stop 'Til You Get Enough', 'Billie
Jean', 'Dirty Diana'
and 'Smooth Criminal'
Once the songs for the
album are finalized, accompanying videos would also be compiled
simultaneously in a DVD format, which is rumored to include
"The Making of Thriller."
The U.K. press
release gave a November 17 release date for the album but
sources say it 's leaning towards being released next year.

Lil'
Kim faces possible jail time for possession
Police
have issued a warrant for the arrest of pint sized rapper Lil'
Kim threatening her with a possible stint in prison
some seven years after she was implicated in a drugs raid.
The buxom rap star, who
was in London to be a presenter on the Mobos last week, and
also claiming a prize for 'Fashion
Icon', was charged with cannabis (ganja) possession
in 1996, following a raid at the home of the late Notorious
B.I.G. but despite being told to appear at a New
Jersey courthouse, she failed to appear and a UK tabloid claims
police are now planning to arrest her.
A spokesman for Teaneck
Municipal Court, in New Jersey, said: "There was a court
date which she never appeared at. If she can't post bail, she'll
be put in jail." Lil'
Kim has yet to comment on the matter.
