3LW
rumored to sign with JD's So So Def label
-
It's rumored that the newly
reformed R&B girl group 3LW
will leave the Sony stable for another label. Adrienne
Bailon, newest member Jessica
'J' Benson
and Kiely Williams will
ink a new label deal with....... So
So Def!
"OK, this is the
big news right here, we were just signed, so now we are definitely
[with the] So So Def [imprint] and [its distributor], Arista."
said newest member Jessica
'J' Benson
"That's right, we're
really excited with working with Jermaine Dupri. J.D. is actually
gonna be doing four or five tracks on the album. We are moving
to Atlanta for a certain amount of time to finish the album.
It's gonna be so much fun working with him." Adrienne
added
For fans who've been
tracking 3LW for the past few months, the announcement comes
as no surprise. The group, formerly signed to Epic Records,
has been negotiating with Dupri for some time now. A few months
ago, the producer/label exec said he wanted to sign the girls
because he saw their potential and thought all they needed
to really take off with the right team behind them.

Producer
on the rise - Kayne West
You've
heard the name, you've heard of the associations and you've
probably heard his track 'Thru the
Wire (sampling Chaka Khan's
'Through the Fire') but
just who is Kayne West.
The 26-year-old Chicago native seems to have come out of nowhere
to work with the likes of Jay Z,
Common and Ludacris.
He currently has a slate of new projects in the works, including
an overdue solo effort. He's been in the studio lately with
one of (if not) the first artists he ever worked with Common
on his follow-up to last year's Electric
Circus
and has produced Alicia Keys
first single from her upcoming set 'The
Diary of Alicia Keys' called 'You
Don't Know My Name'.
And that's not all either,
in the upcoming weeks Kanye will hit the studio with none other
than Janet Jackson to work
on a song or two for her upcoming album. "I don't want
to talk about it before it comes out," he said coyly, "but
it'll be unbelievable.". His cliental is on the rise adn
so is his wallet. Be on the lookout for his upcoming projects.
