Outkast does the 1, 2 punch on Billboards Hot 100 chart

Double trouble - Outkast The OutKast tamdem of Andre 3000 and Big Boi has claimed a feat very few artists have achieved (besides The Beatles). They have the No.1 and No. 2 record on Billboards Hot 100 chart for the third week in a row, with the Andre 3000 leading the way with 'Hey Ya!' at No. 1 and then Big Boi latest effort "The Way You Move" featuring Sleepy Brown holding down the No. 2 slot.

The duo's hits come off their double CD entitled Speakkerbox/The Love Below which sees them doing a solo project on the same CD. The concept is some what new in some respect and has been embraced by the public as the Atliens ponder on the various boundries of modern music. The album is available now at a fine record shop near you.

Bobby Brown turns himself in after being charged with battery of Whitney

In trouble again - Bobby BrownWhen will he ever learn? R&B singer Bobby Brown is in trouble with the law again and turned himself in to police in Georgia, after a warrant was issued for his arrest. He was charged with battery, in relation to a domestic dispute that occurred between the singer and his wife, diva Whitney Houston, last December 7.

The former New Edition member is scheduled to appear at a preliminary hearing on January 7. However, Whitney, Bobby, and their attorneys spent most of Wednesday at the Fulton County Magistrate Court in Dunwoody, Georgia, and reportedly are trying to resolve the issue privately.

According to the Fulton County Police Department's report on the incident, the authorities arrived at the couple's home in Alpharetta, Georgia, at 8:30 p.m. on that Sunday after receiving a phone call from Houston.

Police spokesperson Corporal Kurtis Young explained Houston's call to MTV.com. Young said, "Ms. Houston called and stated her address and asked for someone to be sent out, but did not identify herself. She wasn't hysterical or anything, she was very calm." According to the police report, when Houston returned home at approximately 8:20 p.m. she was confronted by Brown who stated that he was going to quote "beat her ass." Brown then allegedly struck Houston on the left side of her face with an open right hand. Houston's wounds were described as, quote, "visible injuries to her face, which included a bruise on her left cheek approximately one inch in diameter and a cut upper-lip on the inner, upper left portion of her mouth."

The couplw has been married for 11 years and has a 11 year old daughter Bobbi Kristina.

Celine Dion, Carlos Santana, Michelle Branch and Beyoncé all performed during pre-game festivities, while the Dixie Chicks were on hand to deliver the National Anthem.
