Anita Baker's 'My Everything' set for Sept release
It's hard to believe its been some 10 years now since we last had any studio work from the original songstress Anita Baker, not since her last studio album Rhythm Of Love was released in 1994. During that time she has kept herseelf busy though becoming a mother of two and living the normal home life of marriage and family.
But that was then and this is now and yes ladies and gents the songstress returns with a new label in Blue Note (no longer with Elektra) and a new album 'My Everything' due Sept 7th. The eight time grammy winner reunites with an old aquaintance in George Duke who produced the Rhythm of Life' set amongst others and promises to perhaps be her best work yet to date.
The lead off single 'You're My Everything' released last month, has already climbed to the Number One spot on the National Urban Adult Chart and looks to stay there a while.
She will make a number of appearances in the upcoming months most notably she is set to grace the cover of the October issue of Essence magazine, (which will be on newsstands mid-September).
Upcoming performance dates for the diva includes the Tom Joyner's Family Reunion in Orlando, Florida on September 4th and as well as headlining the Bermuda Music Festival in Hamilton, Bermuda , on October 9th.

Brandy's getting married again - for real this time
It was only just last week that revelations came to light from her former husband that the couple were not 'officially married' but this week, rumor has it that singer Brandy has officially gotten engaged and its for real this time around (according to reports).
The R&B singer tells People Magazine that she's set to marry professional basketball player Quentin Richardson. Richardson played for the LA Clippers his first 4 seasons in the NBA but was traded to the Phoenix Suns last week for reportedly a 6 year, $45 million contract.
According to reports from MTV, Richardson proposed to his bride-to-be last Tuesday (July 27th) at a private party with Brandy's family and friends in attendance. He presented his her with an eleven-and-a-half carat engagement ring reportedly worth $1,000,000 when she said the magic word - yes. No date has been set for the wedding.

Janet held back in LA nightclub altercation
Los Angeles - Hey don't mess with my brother or else. That apparently was what Janet Jackson was about to do last weekend where she was reportedly about to engage in a physical altercation with a club goer.
According to the UK rag The Daily Mirror, Janet and her entourage was out for a night on the town and went to the Concorde Room. While in the VIP room she heard a man hurling insults about brother Michael Jackson behind her and she then went after him. Security then intervened, breaking up the pair. The male who is yet to be identified was committing about Michaels present legal situation reportedly yelling that Michael was a “f**king freak.”
Said a eye witness 'She suddenly lost her composure and lunged toward him. It looked as though it was about to kick off when security came in and the guy was dragged out of the club'. Janet continued to party but she didn’t enjoy herself, the source said. 'It definitely ruined her night,' stated the source.

TLC's singer Tionne 'T-Boz' Watkins, recently filed for divorce and seeked a restraining order against her estranged husband, rapper Mack 10. The singer has accused her husband of physically abusing her and wants nothing more to do with the rapper.
In June, she filed for divorce from and at the time, made a series of allegations including death threats, infidelity and physical confrontations. In response to the allegations Mack 10 has denied ever abusing his wife and issued a formal statement stating such revelations
It read 'To be clear about what has happened in the case so far, each time Mr. Rolison has requested relief, he has prevailed. Mr. Rolison refuses to bad mouth his wife, but he wants it to be clear that the allegations about him were untrue and that the above facts should make that clear'.Mack 10, whose real name is Dedrick D-Mon Rolison, now has a restraining order against him where he is unable to come within 100 yards of her. In addition, T-Boz wants full custody of their 3-year-old daughter.
