Allure
returns with 'Sunny Days'
One
of the most underrated groups of 1996 was the female quartet known as
Allure. Now after a 5 year hiatus the ladies are back with
'Sunny Days'
their sophomore release and debut set for new label MCA. The new set sees
former
Naughty by Nature
brain child
Kay Gee
on producing duties and the
girls wrote several of the songs.
Composed
of
Alia Davis,
Lalisha McLean,
Linnie Belcher
and

Allure
formed in New York in the early 1990s and signed
to
Mariah Carey's
now defunct Crave label in 1996 by the
Trackmasters. Their
debut hit 'Head over heels' took off with the Trackmasters remix featuring
Nas (and the sample of
Frankie Beverly
and

Before I let go' as the
backbone) This time around features not as many samples as their debut
set but definitely all soul. The debut single is 'Enjoy
Yourself' an infectious,
well crafted dance number produced by Kay Gee. Already a No.1 hit on my Top
Ten @ 10 2 weeks in a row. The album will be in stores Sept
25th.

Janet
postpones scheduled shows in several major cities
Not
off to a good start is Janet Jackson latest tour 'All for
You'. First,
there was the cancellation of the Vancouver show/concert due to missing set pieces.
then, a Milwaukee concert had to
be put off at the last minute because of dental surgery. As of August 5, concerts in Cleveland, Indianapolis and Pittsburgh were canceled due to
a case of the flu. The canceled dates have been tentatively rescheduled for shows in September and October, and, as told through spokespersons,
Ms. Jackson has apologized to local fans.
