BBC Radio 1's reggae jock DJ Village (who's given name is  Horrace Pinnock) was shot and killed following a gang fight in London early Tuesday morning (Nov. 20). According to the Metropolitan Police. Pinnock, 24, was shot following an argument with six to 10 men outside the Plaza Hotel in Wembley around 2.30 a.m. Shortly afterward, he was pronounced dead at Central Middlesex Hospital.

Said a spokes person for Radio 1 "This is a tragedy and our thoughts go out to his family and friends". Pinnock was an occasional DJ who filled in for Chris Goldfinger.
