The
Menu on temporary hiatus
Due
to a recent event that happened at the location of the station, my show 'The
Menu' (on mixx96fm.com)
is on temporary hiatus until further notice. On Feb 22nd the
station suffered a devastating blow when a water pipe burst overnight and
flooded the station damaging the equipment.
Management is currently
looking for a new location to set up shop and sort out what to do about
the damages. I've not been told much else so when I know something more
I'll post up an update so do stay tuned.

112
leaves Bad Boy for Def Jam
R&B super group 112
has left
Bad Boy the label that they've called home since the groups
inception to join the UNI family. They have inked a deal to join Def Jam who houses the likes
of Montell Jordan
and Musiq.
Why they left the Bad Boy roaster is not clear but the recent direction
CEO and founder Sean
'Puffy'
Combs
has taken his label into probably has something to do with it. He has cut
ties with momma label Arista
and is currently shopping around for another distributor.
Most
likely what will happen is that he will go alone as an independant (as did
Master P) so that he will have the controlling interest in all aspects of
the business which was not the case while under the Arista umbrella. So
with 2 major players having jumped ship in 112
and Faith Evans
(who signed with Arista at the beginning of the year) it's certainly not a
good start for the P-man.
