R-Kelly settles one suit out of court

It seems that Mr. Kelly can't get a break. According to news sources,  charges have yet to be filed against R. Kelly who continues to defend himself against allegations that he taped himself having sex with underage girls.  yet last Thursday, Kelly proclaimed his innocence again, as he settled a lawsuit with a woman who accused him of seducing her when she was 17.

With all these allegations surfacing against him it makes you wonder if there is any truth in the matter at hand. Let's see now he married Aaliyah when she was 15, settles out of court with a young woman who said he seduced her and now the sex orgy with 2 young women, you've got to ask yourself - is it true? We'll have to wait and see won't we.

Musiq asks all to 'Juslisen'

The Soulchild returns. Musiq is back with his sophomore album 'Juslisen '. The Philly native we know as Musiq Soulchild (given name: Talib Johnson) has now join the ranks of the one name artists as he recently dropped the 'Soulchild' from his name.

It looks like another best seller for the Philly native, smooth neo-soul vocalist who serves as writer and producer on all tracks on the set. The lead off single is 'Half Crazy ', though similar to 'Girl Next door' in texture and style 'Half Crazy ' is drenched in orchestral strings and a soothing bass line with Musiq's voice in fine form. Radio has jumped all over it so it's getting it's fair due of airplay across the board. The album is due May 7th at a fine record shop near you so look out for it.

Jazz act Soulive his stores with 'Next'

Jazz maestros Soulive returns with their 4th album 'Next' on Blue Note records. The set features Soulive traditional sounds with some modern day flavour. The likes of Talib Kweli on Back to 'Bama - rmx, Amel Larrieux on 'I don't know',  Black Thought (of The Roots) on 'Clap' and Dave Matthews on 'Joyful Girl' all lend a helping hand on the new flavour the lads have brought to the table and what makes this set even more appealing is that the tracks actually do grab you.

The album was released in mid-March but I thought it should be brought to your attention and speaking of which their 1999 release 'Turn it out' will be re-released this month so look out for it
