Mis-Teeq's Alisha announces plans to wed

Congratulations are in order for the gals of Mis-teeq. They are planning a triple wedding. The trio, who were recently named Best Band of the year at the Maxim Women of the Year Awards, announced Alesha's engagement to So Solid Crew's Harvey and plans for the ceremony reports Radio 1.

"We're having a big Mis-teeq wedding, all three of us together, when we've got time, when we've got some money." It means all three girls will be brides and bridesmaids on the same day.

Ashanti adds another record to her resume

Ashanti Douglas is what you might call 'blowing up' (big time I might add). The youngster's debut release held onto the No.1 spot a second straight week and has done something no one else has ever done before.

She reached the No.1 spot last year with Ja Rule's 'Always on Time', and then her solo album debuted at No.1 and now she holds the No.1 spot on The Top 100, Top R&B/Hip Hop and Album charts simultaneously. And if that's not enough she's also done something else, her holds the No.1 and No.2 spots on the Top 100 single chart with 'Foolish' and 'What's Luv' by Fat Joe (in which she guest vocals) respectively. Can you say 'HOT', it seems that she can't miss with whatever she does, congrats. .

Tyrese injured in motorcycle accident

Men and their toys I say. Singer/Actor Tyrese was injured while riding his motorcycle with friends in a Riverside, California, desert.

According to his spokesperson, Tyrese hit a gully and flew 50 feet when his bike hit it. The 23-year-old was driving the same 955I Triumph Datona motorcycle as he did in his "I Like Them Girls" video he was rushed to Ranchos Spring Medical Center in Riverside, suffering cuts and bruises all over his body and severe back pain.

He was later transported to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles for back treatment and is expected to stay there through the weekend. His spokesperson said he's in stable condition.

The injury has halted recording on his third solo album, which will be his first as part of Clive Davis' J Records camp. Tyrese, who signed with to the label in December, had just begun work in the studio last month. His spokesperson said the album's release depends on when Tyrese gets well and finishes up. They hope to have it ready for fall. If not, they plan to hold it until the beginning of 2003. As for his other talent as an actor, there's nothing on the horizon at the moment.

Glenn Lewis to go on tour?

Canadian R&B sensation Glenn Lewis and Tweet are heading out on a 20-city U.S. tour together. Lewis's debut album, World Outside My Window, is currently Number 34 on the Billboard 200 albums chart and has sold more than 164,000 copies in its first three weeks of release. The first single from the set, "Don't You Forget It," is currently sitting at Number 19 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks chart. Lewis will hook up with video director Chris Robinson in Los Angeles to shoot the video for a second single, "It's Not Fair," in the coming weeks.

Meanwhile, Tweet is taking the music world by storm. The singer, who is the latest find of Missy Elliott and Timbaland, bowed at Number Three on the Billboard 200 albums chart with her debut album, Southern Hummingbird. Her lead single, "Oops (Oh My)," continues to be a mainstay at radio and is currently Number Eight on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart.
