After their break up from Jodeci
you would think that would
be the last you'd hear from these guys but truth be told all have gone
on to do rather well with the exception of the Hailey brothers who has
gone on to have modest success on the R+B charts
With this their 3rd album for
MCA K-ci
and JoJo
has not only matured as artists but truly shines as vocalists, case
and point the opening track 'Honest
Lover ' where the
opening minute and a half is a acoustic string and piano fueled by
their strong acappella. Next is 'Wanna
do you right '
another
strong move slow groover which borrows from Luther Ingram's
'If
loving you you is wrong '.
Running in 3rd is 'Get
back' another ballad
that studies the relations of romance. A track that shines among the
rest is 'Thug n u thug n
me ' that features the
late but great Tupac Shakur
that has radio play written all over it.
The lead off single is 'Crazy
' a dandy of a ballad
that the lads wrote and co - produced by Darrel
Delite Allamby, I can see
this being added to radio formats across the board going in heavy rotation.
Other notables include 'All
the things I should of done ', 'If
it's going to work
', 'I can't find the
words ',
'Something inside of me '
and 'One last
time '. All
round a nice album that will please all of their loving fans. On a
footnote be on the lookout the reunion album that will grace record
shops and stores everywhere spring of next year. A Ty- D Pick.
