Jody Watley feat. Roy Ayers - I love to love (MAW)
Most of us remember her from the group Shalamar before she went solo in '86 where she scored crossover hits with 'Looking for a new love', 'Real love', 'Your love keeps working on me' and most recently 'Affection'.
This time around, with the wizards of super producers Lil' Louie Vega and Kenny Dope Gonzalez (aka Masters at Work) behind the helm, you knew you were in for a spectacular treat. This song comes alive with Roy Ayers beautifully seducing the vibes and Jody's voice is as stunning as ever. Armed with 4 mixes you can't go wrong with this record.
Jody has always been adventurous in her style of music and now you can add "Dance Diva" to her resume with this track. My Ty-D pick for the clubs this fall.

Musiq - Just Friends: Nutty Professor 2 The Klumps (Def Soul/Def Jam)
Philadelphia seems to be the place for shining new talent to spread their wings. With the likes of The Roots, Will Smith and more recently the fabulous Jill Scott, making his mark on the scene is newcomer Musiq with his debut single 'Just Friends'.
This song is a smooth, uplifting track that is very pleasing to the listening ear. He credits his style to those he admired most while growing up Marvin Gaye, Donny Hathaway and Stevie Wonder, Erykah Badu and D'Angelo. His debut album 'Ijuswannasing' will be out early next year be on the look out for it.

Profyle - Liar: (Motown)
The lads from Louisiana are back with a ballad about what your other half can get up to if you're not careful. 'Liar' tells the tale of divorce and what one has to give up to the other. This can be a touchy subject but it's well addressed here. Not much information is offered on this as to whether its from a forthcoming album or soundtrack or whether this will be released as a single yet but a nice track never the less.

MAW - All Star Sampler: (MAW)
I can't help myself when it comes to New Yorkers MAW (Masters at Work). Everything they've released on their label of the same name has been nothing short of masterpieces and so I was truely excited to get ahold of this 2 record set.
With the likes of Danny Tenaglia, Frankie Feliciano, The Backroom Project and the lads themselves (under the alias KenLou) this record doesn't disappoint. They have done it again with stand outs tracks like Johnny O and Nicky P - 'Like Morning', Benji Candelario - 'C - Room' and KenLou - 'Magica Ilusion'. A must have for any true house fan on this planet. If you haven't got this yet what r u waiting for - go get it will ya.

Sticky Fingaz - Get it up: (Universal)
The former member of Onyx is doing things on his own with this his 1st single from his debut album for Universal. His edgy flow is raw and to the point and leaves nothing to chance when it comes to 'get it up'. No date on the release of the album yet but put it on your most wanted list.
